Here is something you may have not known. The hellraiser Johnny Cash was once deputized. A Nashville sheriff has revealed that Johnny Cash was one granted law enforcement authority by the state of Tennessee. Sheriff Daron Hall shared a blown-up image of Cash’s 1979 sheriff commission card at the Johnny Cash museum this week.  Hall says the card was found by a photographer in a box. The card features Cash’s fingerprint, signature, and headshot. “Cash’s duties aren’t known,” says Hall, “but he was into criminal justice and prison reform.”
