Texas Cares raises over $200,000 for Salvation Army!

Alpha Media, East Texas Raises Over $200,000 with Texas Cares!

TYLER, TX, May 12, 2017 – Alpha Media, East Texas, including kykx1057, Sunny 106.5, 104.1 The Ranch, and La Invasora 96.7 partnered with CBS 19 and Tyler Morning Telegraph to create Texas Cares and raise $211,660 for the victims of severe storms that ravaged the area in late April. Texas Cares ensures that every dollar collected for this disaster goes directly to The Salvation Army to assist the tornado and storm victims in East Texas, and to help rebuild communities devastated by the storms.

Alpha Media, East Texas Market Manager, Cary Camp commented on the announcement, “After an unimaginable disaster, we were able to team up with our partners to raise over $200,000 in just one week! We would like to thank all of our listeners who made this disaster relief fund drive a success. Helping those in need in our community is what radio is all about.”
